Bill Spent over 6 years building his PA-14 photo plane from plans. The original design was modified specifically for aerial photo work, with sliding side windows, a center-mounted control stick, and GPS navigation. This PA-14 cruises at over 120 mph, yet can fly as slow as 37 mph, providing both a large geographic service area and a wide range of photo angles and altitudes.
Hudson Valley Aerial Photos, LLC has been in business for over 10 years and is owned and operated by Bill Soukup. Bill is both a Commercial Pilot with over 20 years of flying experience and a Professional Geologist with 30 years of experience. HVAP specializes in aerial photos of environmental and industrial sites where Bill uses his experience as an environmental consultant in the layout of the photos.
Hudson Valley Aerial Photos operates out of scenic Wurtsboro Airport in Sullivan County, NY. Centrally located in the Hudson Valley, this historic airport is the oldest continually operated glider port in the U.S. Bill is also a commercial glider pilot, with over 1,000 flights logged.
